Who Is Karl Siganporia?
Karl Siganporia is an experienced family law practitioner who's worked on complex cases involving child support, spousal support, custody, and domestic violence. For nearly a decade, Karl has helped clients across the state of California at trial and appellate levels. Karl relishes the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of his clients by devising strategic, creative solutions that solve what are often difficult family-related matters.
Family Law Expertise
Before entering family law practice, Karl worked in corporate litigation, focusing on intellectual property licensing, employer-employee litigation, and strategic international corporate tax structuring. He switched to family law to dedicate his time and expertise to helping families through some of their darkest moments. Karl takes very seriously the trust placed in him and the family law system by his clients and works diligently to secure the interests of those he represents.
Karl's specific family law specialties include litigation, judgment, child support, custody and visitation, domestic violence, and appeals. Throughout his career as a trial and appellate family lawyer, Karl has prepared nearly 500 family law pleadings and documents. He's also achieved impressive results in the face of challenging cases, including reduction of a client's support obligation by four times the original amount and obtaining a client's desired custody arrangement of a child attending school abroad.
Education and Qualifications
Karl earned his Juris Doctorate from UCLA, where he instructed tutorials for first-year Criminal Law and Torts and was the youngest student entering his class at age 19. Following his law degree at UCLA, Karl earned a Master's degree in Management Studies from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Karl also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkely. Karl is licensed to practice law in California, as well as the federal Northern District of California, United States Bankruptcy Court, and Central District of California.
When he's not working, Karl loves playing the piano/keyboard, learning new languages, taking scenic drives, and reading a good book on Sunday afternoons.
