Hiring: Experienced Family Law Attorney Near San Francisco (Full-Time)

415-851-4300

If you're an experienced family law attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area who wants a steady caseload and more opportunities to grow, but you don't want all the burdens of going solo, consider applying for a career at Amin Law.  We're a growing but well-established boutique family law firm with multiple offices around the Bay Area, and we're looking to hire a full-time family lawyer.

This job opening is for you if you have reservations about a solo career, but you don't want to start on the bottom rung at a Big Law firm.  Here you'll start off with plenty of responsibility, but also exceptional upside and a sustainable work-life balance.

We want a self-starter who enjoys being an attorney.  If you want to focus most of your time on helping clients, with some time spent on day-to-day operations, we're a good fit for each other.

This is a long-term position.  On the one hand, you are joining an already-successful firm, one with case results and other successes you can easily research online.  On the other hand, ours is not a firm that has already maxed out.  Our best days are ahead, and yours may be, too.

Job description: Our firm handles contested and complex family-law matters, including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, DVRO matters, post-judgment proceedings, discovery, settlement negotiations, evidentiary hearings, and trials.

The ideal attorney is a strong writer, strategic thinker, organized, and dependable.  You are professional both with clients and with opposing counsel.  You are capable of independently managing a family-law caseload with limited supervision.

Compensation: $175,000-$250,000 a year for full-time employment, depending on experience and ability, plus productivity and origination bonus opportunities.

Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, flexible scheduling, professional development assistance, retirement/401(k) benefits, life insurance, and productivity and origination bonus opportunities, subject to employment status and applicable plan terms.

Schedule: Full-time preferred, although part-time is a possibility for an exceptional attorney with substantial California family-law experience.

Experience: Active California Bar membership is required, along with at least three years of substantive California family-law experience. Five or more years is preferred.

Your legal experience should include some combination of handling contested custody, complex financial issues, business interests, DVRO matters, evidentiary hearings, and trials.

Billable Expectation: Approximately 1,250 hours annually for a full-time attorney.

Work Arrangement: The position is genuinely remote for ordinary day-to-day work, including drafting, research, client communications, case management, internal meetings, and remote court appearances where permitted. At the same time, you must be available to appear in-person at courts throughout the San Francisco Bay Area when required, including for trials, evidentiary hearings, and proceedings where remote appearance is unavailable or inappropriate.
